[2022-12-06] Holiday Schedule and Christmas Tree Collection: Christmas Day and New Year's Day both fall on a Sunday and will have no impact on the regularly scheduled collections. Christmas trees will be collected during the first 2 weeks of January. Trees will be collected on the usual yard waste collection day (i.e., Tuesday).

[2022-10-09] The Regal Oaks Oktoberfest will be held on October 16th 4-6PM at the Gazebo. The HOA will provide snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. You can bring your own bottles, lawn chairs, blankets, and lawn games. If you bring food to share, please wrap it for individual consumption. Both homeowners and renters are welcome!

[2022-03-01] Advantage Landscape will be onsite starting 03/02/2022 to apply the first round of turf applications. This is a pre-emergent with fertilizer. In the event of inclement weather, they will be onsite the next available workday.

[2022-02-13] The snow has started falling and with the high temps over the last couple days and still above freezing, Capitol Construction does not anticipate any snow removal services. They will treat hard surfaces as needed and crews are on stand by.

[2021-11-08] Patriot Disposal's Holiday Schedule: during Thanksgiving week, the Thursday's regularly-scheduled services will be moved to Saturday, November 27th. Christmas and New Years day fall on a Saturday, and thus have no impact on the regularly scheduled collections.

[2020-12-18] A new Fairfax County vaccine website has been launched for updated information on COVID-19 vaccines and vaccination information, according to the recent Providence District Post (here is an excerpt).

[2020-12-14] For the Christmas and the New Year week, there will be trash pick-up ONLY on Tuesdays - Dec. 22nd and Dec. 29th. There will NOT be any trash pick-up on Friday Dec. 25th or Jan. 1st, and NO make-up trash collection on the following day - Saturday Dec. 26th or Jan. 2nd.

[2020-10-07] Update: the annual board meeting (via Zoom) followed by a regular board meeting will be held on October 28th 2020 from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

[2020-08-17] Patriot Disposal will be picking up your old and extra recycling toters and hand-carry recycling bins, which are no longer accepted by the new automatic arm trucks, tomorrow on August 18th. If you have any, please put them out on the curb by tomorrow morning.

[2020-07-09] The next BOD meeting (via Zoom) will be held on July 15th 2020 7:00pm-9:00pm.

[2020-06-20] Effective July 1st, Patriot Disposal will start to utilize an ASL for trash and recycling, and will only pick up trash or recycling inside a Toter. If you don't have a recycling Toter, you will be provided one at no cost. On June 26th, Patriot Disposal will drop of 32-gallon container and collect your 18-gallon bins. Please refer to this service notice for details.

[2020-05-20] The next BOD meeting (via Zoom) will be held on May 26th 2020 from 7:00pm-9:30pm.

[2020-05-13] Effective May 18th, Patriot Disposal will resume regular yard waste and bulk/special item collections. Please refer to Patriot Disposal's Notice for details.

[2020-04-01] One more update from Patriot Disposal: Trash outside of the container, including bagged trash, will not be collected. Trash that does not fit in the container should instead be placed into the container for collection on the 2nd pick-up day of the week. Please refer to this updated notice for details.

[2020-04-01] Based on the recent notice from Patriot Disposal, in response to the current COVID-19 public health emergency, Patriot Disposal will temporarily suspend the collection of yard waste from all Fairfax County residential customers, effective immediately. Please also check Patriot Disposal's COVID-19 page for any new update.

[2020-03-27] The annual inspection is scheduled for April. 17th with a rain date of April 24th.

[2020-03-18] As many have been advised to stay safe at home amid the Coronavirus situation, the next BOD meeting on March 19th 2020 has been changed to a call-in meeting among board members.

[2019-11-18] The next BOD meeting will be held on January 8th 2020, starting from 7:00pm at Kilmer Middle School Art Room #G104.

[2019-10-22] If you still wish to recycle glass, you can deliver used glass containers to purple, glass-only recycling containers; there are now 21 purple containers available, and more sites are being evaluated to make dropping off glass more convenient. All colors of clean glass bottles and jars are accepted in the purple containers. Glass items not accepted include lamps, light bulbs, ceramics, porcelain, mirrors, windows, and sheet glass. If you wish to recycle, please see this link for locations of the purple containers.

[2019-10-18] The 2019 holiday trash schedule from Patriot Disposal has been released.

[2019-10-09] Beginning on November 11th, glass is not permitted to be included as recycling. Recycling that contains glass will be considered contaminated and will not be picked up. Please refer to this notice from Patriot Disposal for details.

[2019-09-06] The 2019 Annual Meeting of Association will be held on September 18th 2019, starting from 7:00pm at Kilmer Middle School Art Room #G104.

[2019-09-04] The hearing regarding failure to take actions on listed violations of the Homeowners Association Architectural covenants is scheduled on September 11th, 2019, starting from 7:15pm in Kilmer Middle School Room G-4 (art room).

[2019-08-07] The updated Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions has been uploaded and is available under Forms & Documents.

[2019-08-01] There have been automobiles burglarized through brazen acts in the Tysons/Dunn Loring area (including our community) these past several weeks. The Fairfax County police is aware of this and has a task force organized that is working on identifying individual(s) responsible for these criminal actions. Majority of the cars that have been broken into were left unlocked with valuable items such as laptops and briefcases that were left in visible sight inside the vehicles. Please have all vehicles locked at all times and placed inside the garage after dark (if possible based on space availability).

Welcome to the Regal Oaks! The Regal Oaks is a community of 60 townhomes located in Dunn Loring, Virginia about 10 miles west of Washington DC (map). Our neighborhood was built between 1993 and 1994 and boasts a strategic location within one and a half miles of both Tysons Corner to the north and the Dunn Loring metro station to the south. We have easy access to the Capital Beltway and Interstate-66 and are within a mile of the Washington and Old Dominion Trail. In this otherwise dense urban area, we have an expansive well-landscaped common area with gazebo, ample parking, and we're bordered by woods on several sides.
